Manager/Supervisor

Level 5 Capital Partners is looking for a Manager of Real Estate Strategy & Insights to join our Real Estate team. This person will be responsible for providing research and analytic support by understanding the customer through brand analysis, market validation, site selection for real estate and other stakeholder operations across portfolio companies. This person will lead a team through strategic initiatives that include brand analysis, market and industry analysis, assessing market opportunities, developing territory mapping and selection strategies to drive business goals of our Franchisor and Franchisee systems. 

Duties And Responsibilities 

  • Leverage portfolio company and other third-party data to build proxy models to enhance understanding of brand customers, build market plans, and execute on site selection strategies 
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of departmental procedures and controls to monitor projects and improve processes more effectively 
  • Builds and improves upon Alteryx workflows to enhance effectiveness of self and team process 
  • Provide in-depth analysis of portfolio company and competitors’ stores to better understand the brand and its customer from a real estate perspective 
  • Support real estate strategy methodology with case studies reviewing team market and site-specific real estate decisions 
  • Develop market plans based on each portfolio company’s metrics and collaboration with Directors of Real Estate and Real Estate Managers, brokers, and portfolio company stakeholders  
  • Leverage GIS and other geospatial tools to optimize market plans  
  • Support Real Estate Directors and Managers in the market validation and site selection process with portfolio reviews of multi-property landlords  
  • Leverage portfolio company and other third-party data to build proxy models to enhance understanding of brand customers, build market plans, and execute on site selection strategies  
  • Build and improve upon Alteryx workflows to enhance effectiveness of self and team process  
  • Provide in-depth analysis of portfolio company and competitors’ stores to better understand the brand and its customer  
  • Evaluate demographics, psychographics, behavior and site attributes to qualify real estate decisions  
  • Supports the Investment team in ongoing due diligence of new portfolio companies and management of existing assets 
  • Support the Franchise Development team by validating market and territory data and exhibits for prospective franchise partners and their legal agreements 
  • Supports the Franchise Development team to create ad hoc analysis of markets and territories to assist in sale of franchise units 
  • Supports aforementioned and other portfolio company teams with business intelligence-related analyses ad hoc 
  • Contribute to enhancing the methodology and processes of the Strategy Team  
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of existing stores’ metrics and store performance  
  • Maintains an overall knowledge of strategy processes and procedures within the Real Estate Team  
     

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience preferably at a top-tier strategy consulting role with experience in corporate strategy, corporate planning, market entry strategy, market monitoring and analysis 
  • 1+ years of management experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent practical experience 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication (including presentation skills) 
  • Excellent research, problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • Strong business judgment and an executive presence 
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects at one time, and rapidly change priorities based on business needs 
  • Competitive team-player, patient and bold, curious, humble, creative, and fact-based 
  • Ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and commercial real estate  
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel (VBA/Macros) and Powerpoint  
  • Intermediate to advanced GIS experience with tools such as ArcGIS, Buxton, eSite, etc.  
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with manipulating large data sets through statistical software or other methods  
  • Preferred experience with Alteryx or other analytics tools  
  • Experience with SQL for querying relational databases 
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc. 
  • Experience or basic knowledge of project management systems such as Agile Scrum
